HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

We met through mutual friends, while Dean was visiting from another state. We hit it off immediately and continued to stay in touch even though he lived so far away. Eventually, Dean moved back to Alabama to be closer to me, and after five years of being together, we got married.

THE PROPOSAL

We took what I thought was just a normal family trip to Helen, Georgia. I did not suspect that he was going to be popping the question. On our second day on the trip, we walked into a gazebo that overlooked the entire town. While I was distracted by the view, he got down on one knee and proposed! I was more shocked than ever. Needless to say, I will never forget how beautiful this moment was.

WEDDING DRESS DETAILS

I have always had a love for vintage fashion, specifically ‘70s and ‘80s fashion. I thought it was going to be difficult to find something to tie in a modern style with a vintage twist, but out of all the dresses I saw, this was the beautiful dress that I fell in love with. The lace and the fluff caught my eye, along with the ivory tone that melted in with the milky white. It was the only dress I had to try on.

WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE

Try not to stress over brands or expensive decorations. You can have a gorgeous wedding with items found from the thrift store or even your backyard.
