HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?

One of my best friends convinced me to get on a dating app after a rough break up. I was very hesitant to make a profile because dating apps were really not my thing. I eventually started talking to Pablo and immediately wanted to meet him! I was so nervous to meet up with him, so I brought a friend with me. We decided to meet at a Birmingham Barons game, and he brought a friend, too. We had a great time hanging out, watching the game and catching dinner afterwards. We continued to spend time with each other and started dating a few months later.

THE PROPOSAL

Pablo decided to bring me along on a work trip to San Diego in Spring 2022. It was such a fun trip! We enjoyed eating lots of delicious food, walking on the beach and visiting the San Diego Zoo. We had to make the one-hour trip to Disneyland on our last day, of course! After a long day of enjoying Disney, we took a break near the beautiful water fountain by the castle. That is where he decided to ask me to marry him. It was so perfect! Surprisingly, there were not many people around, so it ended up being a very romantic moment with just us. I was so surprised and could not believe he hid the ring in his fanny pack all day! It is a moment I will cherish forever.

WEDDING DRESS DETAILS

I have always been told to keep an open mind when looking for wedding dresses because you will most likely get the opposite of what you are looking for. This proved to be true for me! I tried on more than 50 dresses that I thought I wanted for my wedding day, but I never felt like any of them were the one. When I tried on my dress, I knew immediately it was the one! My favorite thing about my dress is the unique color. It is not solid white like most wedding dresses. It has a tan under layer that really gives the dress character. I absolutely love it! I was looking for a dress that had a vintage feel, and I felt like my dress really fit in with the venue. I love how it turned out!

WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE

The best advice I would give future brides is to stay flexible with your planning. Do not stress the small stuff, and enjoy your day because it goes by way too fast!
