1. Celebrate the Family Expo

Enjoy free family fun, great giveaways and much more! The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with a welcome from Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato and swag bags full of goodies for the first 200 attendees. Find more information here.
2. Runk the Gap
May 13-14
Oak Mountain State Park
Runk the Gap is a two-person relay event taking place at Oak Mountain State Park in benefiting Designs For Hope. Starting at the Redbud Pavilion (BMX track), teams will take off at Midnight on May 13 for a grueling 12-hour lap race that will end at Noon on May 14. The number of loops completed within the 12-hour time frame will determine the results of the race. Sign up here.
3. Regions Tournament

Greystone Golf & Country Club
Regions Tradition is one of five major championships on the PGA Tour of Champions. Hosted at majestic Greystone, Regions brings five of the biggest days in golf and some of the most revered names in the game right here at majestic Greystone. See more information here.
4. Princess Brunch

Helena Hollow
Join Helena Hollow for a delicious brunch with several of your favorite princesses including Elsa, Anna, Moana, Ariel, Rapunzel, Jasmine, Tinkerbell and more. There will also be a glitter station, face painting and baby animal cuddling.
5. Puppy Palooza

Cat-n-Bird Winery
Four-legged friends are part of the family at Cat-n-Bird Winery, and they are excited to partner with Shelby Humane to host Puppy Palooza. Shelby Humane will have dogs available for adoption, plus there will be dog treat vendors Giggle Paws Boutique, Blind Dog Biscuit Co., and more to come. As always, Cat-n-Bird will have a food truck for the humans with Blacktop Bistro and live music with Jeff Florreich.
6. Kitty Kay Haven & Rescue 5K
May 28 | 7 a.m.
Veterans Park
The Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue 5K Meow-A-Thon is a 5k race and the Whisker Walk is a 1-mile fun run/walk benefiting Kitty Kat Haven & Rescue, a no-kill, cage-free shelter for cats and kittens. Register here.
