favorite moment:

On Emily and Stephen’s wedding day, getting ready was Emily’s favorite part. She wanted to feel very comfortable and relaxed on her wedding day. She has lived in her Birmingham home since she was 12 years old. She decided to have her bridesmaids come to her house to get ready and to take pictures before they headed to the venue. It was such a sweet time to wake up in her house and enjoy the last morning with her family as a Miles. Having all of her best friends in one place was a huge blessing. She did her first look with her bridesmaids in the family room, and the first look with her dad and brother in front of the house. She will forever cherish the memories she has from that last day in her childhood home.

favorite details:

Her favorite details of the big day were the ceremony cross, the charcuterie boards and her bridal bouquet. She envisioned a very simple and natural backdrop for the ceremony. She decided to have a cross made by a family friend. He came the day of the wedding and built the 10-foot cross on site. He even made them a small version that is hanging in their home. The charcuterie boards matched their Italian dinner theme. They had a couple boards placed on each table along with a basket of bread and a bottle of wine. The bridal bouquet was the most beautiful thing Emily has ever seen. The florist completely understood her vision and went above and beyond in her design.
