•Riverchase Loves Art Show

February 1 // Riverchase Country Club

The 14th annual Riverchase Loves Art Show will feature a wide variety of artwork and handmade items by returning and new artists alike. The show will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

•SCHS Baseball Diamond Club Pancake Breakfast

February 1 // Columbiana Recreation Center

The Shelby County High School Baseball Diamond Club will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7-10 a.m. You may dine in or carry out. The price is $7 per plate. Purchase a ticket from a player, parent or Facebook message Shelby County Baseball Diamond Club.

•Peanuts Park Day

February 4 // Veterans Park in Alabaster

Hosted by Peanuts Homeschool Group, Peanuts Park Day will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Bring a bagged lunch and join us for lunch before Park Day. We welcome kids of all ages for some fun in the sun. It’s also a great time for moms to connect.

•The Odd Couple (Female Version)

Performances of Neil Simon’s “The Odd Couple (Female Version)” are scheduled for Jan. 31, Feb. 1, Feb. 6, Feb. 7 and Feb. 8 at 7:30 p.m. and one matinee Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. at South City Theatre, 2969 Pelham Parkway, Suite J. •Kiwanis Club of Helena Pancake Day

February 8 // Helena Intermediate School

The 16th Annual Pancake Day hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Helena will take place from 7-11 a.m. at Helena Intermediate School. •Birmingham Bulls Hockey

February 11+14+15+18 // Pelham Ice Arena

The Birmingham Bulls will take on Knoxville on Feb. 11, Huntsville on Feb. 14+15, and Pensacola on Feb. 18. The action starts at 7:30 p.m. each night except Feb. 15, which starts at 7 p.m. Buy tickets and see the rest of the team’s schedule at bullshockey.net.

•Columbiana Cowboy Day

February 29 // North Main Street

Cowboy Day will bring the fun from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Vendors and artisans are wanted. Columbiana Cowboy Day began in 2008 as a celebration of all things cowboy. There is live music, line dancing, vendors, a chili cook off, a corn hole tournament, a wild west shoot out and lasso demonstration at high noon, and a wild west parade made up of horses and buggies (no motorized vehicles). •2020 Adult Juried Art Show

Throughout February // Shelby County Arts Center

Join the Shelby County Arts Council for the 2020 Adult Juried Art Show, which will be on display through March 6. This show features work from artists across the state competing for the best in the categories of drawing, painting, photography, 3D design, mixed media and overall Best of Show. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during Black Box Theatre events. The Ebsco Fine Art Gallery is located at 105 West College St., Columbiana.
