The wedding dress:
Justin Alexander from Bella Couture. The dress was two pieces, the dress itself and a bolero jacket. Both pieces were Justin Alexander and went together perfectly.
We were set to have an outdoor ceremony, and we weren’t supposed to see each other until I (Rachel) walked down the aisle. However, a huge thunderstorm threat pushed us to have a first look and take the ceremony indoors. Even though it wasn’t what we planned, our first look is something I’ll always remember as he (Blair) realized that the dress he had imagined was exactly the same as the dress I was wearing. He knows me well.
favorite wedding details:
I grew up with my mom’s best friend’s kids. They really felt like the siblings I never had. Growing up, they traveled around the country singing. They sang for our ceremony, and it was such a special piece of the day. Our flowers were the flowers of my dreams. I wanted everything to be very light and airy, so white was my go-to. However, we added in touches of blush and eucalyptus to make them stand out even more. Being in marketing, I had a wedding logo created, and you could find it anywhere you looked – on the save-the-dates, invitations, koozies, sign-in book, napkins, cake and projected on a wall during the reception.
