How did you two meet?
We met through mutual friends about 10 years ago during football season in 2012. We just hung out and never even exchanged numbers. About three years later, he came into where I worked as a waitress and told his friend he was going to marry me one day (still not having my number). After a few months, he finally got in touch with me and has never left me alone since. He asked me to be his girlfriend in December of that year (2015).
The Proposal
We go on a beach trip to Fort Morgan, Alabama, with the family every year. This was my sixth year going. We went on a morning walk after breakfast every day, and nothing seemed any different other than everyone (and I mean everyone) making sure I went to use the restroom before we left. We went on our walk and about halfway in, it started pouring rain! After finally realizing the rain was not easing up, I took a run for it and when I did, Will didn’t run with me. Confused, I turned around and saw him on one knee, asking to marry me.
Favorite Wedding Moment
My favorite moment had to be walking down the aisle. I made it a point not to see Will the whole day, and he made it his mission to not see me, either. As I prepared to walk down the aisle, my stomach was in knots. My eyes were fighting back tears. It was the most comforting thing, knowing he was at the end of the aisle. Once he saw me, and I saw him, everything went away. It was like he and I were the only two there. The most amazing moment of my life.
Favorite Wedding Details
Everything was perfect to the “T.” Honestly, my favorite details were just the simplicity and beauty of the 4-H center. It was absolutely stunning. The nature aspect of it all to the trees being our main backdrop to the chapel having the beautiful rock structure was gorgeous.
