How did you two meet?
We met while we were still students at Oak Mountain Middle School’s expo carnival.
The Proposal
He proposed on the beach the day we took our daughter to see the ocean for the first time. He lied and told me he wanted us all to wear white and get a picture done for her first time to see the water and sand. When we got there, he pretended like we were waiting on more of our family members to take pictures and proposed! Pensacola beach is a very special place to us. We grew up together and have known each other our entire lives. We grew apart, but when we reconnected and started dating, we found out his mom and my dad had both moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida, and lived one street over from each other. It’s like every sign in the world kept bringing us back together.
Favorite Wedding Moment
Getting the groomsmen in the dunking booth was one of the funniest moments of our wedding! We are from Oak Mountain, and most of our wedding party is also. We are lucky to have all grown up together. Even our venue is run by a friend from high school.
Favorite Wedding Details
Since we met at our middle school carnival, the wedding had a complete carnival theme, including games, a dunking booth, food trucks and more. We even had candy apples custom made for our guests. We also had an artist paint a portrait of our wedding, live!
