American Village

American Village is hosting a summer event series called “The Hidden Heroes: Revolutionary Spy Adventure,” which will offer family-friendly activities for all ages. On Thursday, July 4, American Village will host Independence Day 1776, featuring historical interpretation, music and dance numbers, games for children and to end the night right, a huge fireworks display. Admission is $5 per person for this event, but veterans, active military and children ages 4 and under get in free. Learn more about the summer season at American Village at americanvillage.org.

Helena Old Town Live

Drivin’ N Cryin’ will headline Helena Old Town Live’s July concert series with opening acts Bloodkin and Telluride kicking off the night strong. Helena Old Town Live will also feature a vendor market, food trucks, beverages from Oversoul Brewing and to conclude festivities, a fireworks display. Fire on the Water

Wednesday, July 3 |5-9 P.M.
Oak Mountain State Park

Fire on the Water event is back again and will feature a live wakeboarding show from Flip Side Watersports, a fireworks display, music and family-friendly games and activities. From 5 to 7 p.m., Pelham residents will receive a discounted entry fee of only $10 per vehicle. Proof of residency can be shown by driver’s license. Other visitors receive a discounted rate of $15 per vehicle. Oak Mountain State Park will open at 7 a.m., and everyone is invited to come early and enjoy the park’s amenities. Calera Main Street’s First Friday Festival

Calera Main Street welcomes everyone to kick off First Friday early on Thursday, July 4, to start the holiday weekend with a bang. There will be a fireworks display, food and beverage vendors, family-friendly activities and more. For updates, visit downtowncalera.org.

Friday Nights at The Cove

Brought to patrons by Bradford Real Estate Group, Montevallo Main Street’s July edition of Friday Nights at the Cove will feature live musical performances by the band, Twelve. Twelve is known for its Southern rock sound, branching into old country, R&B and alternative music, too. Attendees are advised to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets for the performance.
