Calera Main Street’s First Friday Festivals will kick off this Friday, April 4, with a crawfish boil prepared by Red Mountain Crawfish! Returning this spring, A Very Special Easter Egg Hunt will provide families of children with special needs a safe, relaxing opportunity to hunt for Easter eggs and enjoy the season’s festivities with the community. SafeHouse Strong 5K

Back for the sixth year, the SafeHouse Strong 5K benefits its namesake nonprofit, which exists to support victims of domestic and sexual violence. The race course is paved, making it convenient for runners of all abilities, including families with small children or those with leashed dogs. All participants will receive SafeHouse swag, and the winners in each age group will receive prizes as well. This annual event draws more than 10,000 residents each year and is expected to grow this year!
